Want to learn how to amplify your voice on a local and national level? Join our volunteer Communications Team for a special training with Sam Daley-Harris, founder of Civic Courage, on how to write a letter to the editor and get it published.
When: Wednesday, Nov. 11
Start time: 8:00 p.m. ET // 5:00 p.m. PT
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
This will be an interactive training for beginners and experienced writers alike. Be sure to join from a computer and come prepared to do online research on things like finding 1) your newspaper’s criteria for letters to the editor and 2) articles that would be a good angle for a letter on our issue.
What you’ll learn:
- How to craft a 150-200 word letter that catches an editor’s eye, expresses your key points, and prompts readers to take action.
- How to identify the right publication for your letter.
- How to connect local issues to Wolf-PAC’s mission.
